Facial Bone Fractures from Baseball Injury

Abstract

|
This report presents three uses of facial bone fiwt uses caused by hit ball trauma to the face in baseball game. Two uses were zygomaticomaxillary fracture, orbital blowout fracture, and nasal bone fractures. Another case
was facture of nasal bone only, In former two cases, open reduction, miniplate fixation, and orbital flour reconstruction were performed for zygomaticomaxillary facture and orbital fmcture as well as closed reduction for nasal bone
fracture. In latter case, closed reduction were performed. All three patients could be returned to exercise within three weeks.
It is recommended that facial bone fiacture should be suspected in trauma to face during baseball game.
